Last blog of the year!!!
This semester was alright the grades were alright but could of been better. I like how we did our classwork by doing power points and then reviewing and then taking the test. It helped me out a lot by getting me a better grade. I always looked forward everyday to come to West Civ class because I knew that we would have fun but also learn at the same time. But I am definitely will not miss these blogs because I always forgot to do them which made me loose easy points.

5/30 Class
Today in class we learned a lot about Luther. Luther was a hated person in the catholic church because he nailed a piece of paper on the church door and told the church 95 things they need to change and but the church hates it and wants to go to court for it. But Luther refuses and doesn't show up to court and becomes an outlaw and he has to flee. The counsquences were his writings were banned and he was captured into a castle and was there for one year and translated the new testament into German and once he came back some of his ideas became a real thing.

Today in class we mostly learned about Cesar who ruled Rome. Cesar was a good military general by couquering land left and right from countries next to Rome. But then Cesar got a little over his head by abusing his power the Romans thought but really he didn't so they said you can cross Rubicon if you come by yourself and leave your men behind. And he said no so he took his men home and the senate was happy so the senate killed him by stabbing him and burying there hands in his blood so the people know they killed him. But oddly the people who killed there leader Cesar were not charged of anything and were not killed. But Cesar like I said was a little crazy by naming him governor of Gaul and then dictator of Gaul so they decided lets kill him.

Today in class we reviewed about what we had learned about Rome when Mr. Schick was gone. The Latins came first like in the rap. Rome lived in a perfect spot because enemies had to travel from sea but then go through a river called the Tiber River which made it difficult for the enemies. Tarquin was the 7th and final leader of Rome and was the last one because he abused his power by killing people and taking the thrown from the former king by sitting on his own thrown and told him it's my kingdom now. And then Rome switched to a government were there was 3 branches ( Legislative, Judicial and Executive) and one branch could veto a law and that law would not be one.

I believe that the United States is not declining. That is true because we are still the most dominant country still because we have the best military and are only thing that is not that good is our countries debt but other wise here is nothing we have to worry about. When the Roman empire was declining everybody knew it was happening and everybody on America knows that we are increasing and gradually getting to the best country in the entire world. When you are the best people want to bring you down and a lot of countries hate us so that shows that we are one of the best and we are going to stay there for a while.

Today in class we did a worksheet and most of it was about Jesus and stuff we learned already bible. And I didn't know they would talk this much about Jesus and other stories in the bible. And I didn't know that the Romans were this involved with Christianity. Also I thought this worksheet was pretty easy and it clearly stated the things in the text so the answers were easy to find and it was not a problem for me.
